The film making company Yash Raj Films has started promoting it accordingly, but if you look carefully, this is the earning of the second day of the release of the film ‘Tiger 3’.
The real Monday test of the film would have been when the film would be released on Friday and would enter the fourth day of release after celebrating the first weekend. Apart from Hindi, the film ‘Tiger 3’ has also been released in Tamil and Telugu and its figures are also being released by combining the versions of all the languages, so first of all let’s know about the film which has released Indian films in all the languages simultaneously. Set the trend of releasing i.e. the film ‘Baahubali 2’. This film, released in the year 2017, had taken an opening of Rs 121 crore before its release.
In this, it had earned Rs 58 crore in its original language Telugu. The film earned Rs 90 crore across all languages on the second day of its release, of which its original language Telugu earned Rs 32 crore. The film earned Rs 81.50 crore in Hindi in the first two days of its release and the film’s domestic box office net collection for the first two days of its release was Rs 211 crore.
Now let’s talk about Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, Nayanthara and Vijay Sethupathi’s film ‘Jawaan’, which was released in the month of September itself. The film earned a net worth of Rs 75 crore across all language versions on the first day of its release. The film’s domestic box office collection on the second day stood at Rs 53.23 crore. The film earned a total nett of Rs 128.23 crore in the first two days of its release and the Hindi version alone had a collection of Rs 111.73 crore.
If we talk about Yash Raj Spy Universe’s previous film ‘Pathan’, its collection in the first two days after its release is much more than ‘Tiger 3’. The film had set a record for the highest opening till that time by making a business of Rs 57 crore before its release. The second day collection of the film was even more explosive. ‘Pathan’ had earned Rs 70.50 crore at the domestic box office on the second day of its release, combining all its versions. The first two day collection of the film was Rs 127.50 crore.
Now let’s talk about the film ‘Gadar 2’ starring Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel, which was released only in Hindi. This film was released without any special fanfare or through corporate booking. Despite this, the film surprised everyone by earning Rs 40.10 crore on the first day of its release. The film earned Rs 43.08 crore at the domestic box office on the second day and thus the total first two day net collection of the film stood at Rs 83.18 crore.
And, finally, the collection of Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif and Emraan Hashmi’s film ‘Tiger 3’, about which there is a lot of buzz that it has created a new record for the first Monday of release in Hindi cinema. According to the rules, its first Monday is not the fourth or fifth day of release but only the second day and hence the earnings of this day cannot be considered as its Monday test.
The film took an opening of Rs 44.50 crore on the day of release and its collection on the second day of release stood at Rs 59.25 crore. This also includes the earnings of the Tamil and Telugu versions of the film. Accordingly, the film has earned Rs 104.00 crore in the first two days of its release.
